Pre-primary Classroom

Age Range

2 -3 years

Your child’s transition to the next classroom is based not only on age and meeting developmental milestones, but on their individual progression. Your child must also be socially and emotionally ready to express their needs and wants.

“The senses, being explorers of the world, open the way to knowledge.”

– Maria Montessori

The Pre-Primary class is for students 2-3 years old. Independence is key at this age and we make sure your child’s prepared environment fosters to that independence to help their sense of accomplishment and self-esteem grow.

We encourage the children to move freely around the classroom to different activities and materials while the teacher guides and assists when needed. The children learn to develop order and concentration while discovering self care, respect and independence.

In order for the children to transition to their new primary class once they are ready, they will need to be fully potty trained as well as being emotionally, physically and academically ready to move up. The pre-primary class is such an important steppingstone for your little one because their minds and bodies transition from being a little chicklet into a soaring hummingbird.
